We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional to manage and oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing unit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
You will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission, and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee and manage all operations within the manufacturing unit to ensure efficient and timely production.
2.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of manufacturing processes.
3.
Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement the company's strategic plan.
4.
Develop and monitor performance metrics to ensure that production is always at optimal levels.
5.
Conduct regular reviews of operational processes and make necessary changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
6.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
7.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
8.
Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
9.
Train, supervise and evaluate staff, and oversee professional development and safety training programs.
10.
Identify any skills gaps in the team and undertake a recruitment program to support this, if necessary.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
An MBA would be a plus.
2.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in the manufacturing industry.
3.
Proven experience in supply chain management and strategic planning.
4.
Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of professionals.
5.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
6.
Strong understanding of industry legal regulations and safety standards.
7.
Proficient in MS Office and other business software (e.
g.
ERP).
8.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong decision-maker.
9.
Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate operational processes are being used.
10.
Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality results in a timely manner.
