We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our dynamic engineering team.
This is a permanent role, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and drive the quality assurance function of our company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the necessary quality standards and regulatory requirements.
This position requires extensive knowledge of the food industry, food safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and microbiology.
The candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead all quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to GMP and food safety standards.
Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
Train and mentor staff on quality assurance procedures and standards.
Review and analyze quality performance data, identifying areas for improvement.
Coordinate with external agencies and auditors during audits and inspections.
Stay updated on the latest developments and regulations in the food industry and quality assurance field.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Supervisor or a similar role in the food industry.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, GMP, and regulatory standards in the food industry.
Strong understanding of microbiology as it pertains to food safety.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret quality performance data.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in using quality assurance software and tools.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of quality assurance and food safety.
Certification in Quality Assurance or Food Safety is a plus.
