Join our dynamic finance team as a Cost Accountant! We are seeking a professional with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles.
This role is integral to our financial operations and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial health and sustainability.

Responsibilities:
As a Contract Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for an array of tasks that are vital to our financial operations.
Key duties include:
1.
Implementing cost accounting procedures and methods consistent with corporate policies and GAAP.
2.
Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial information and cost accounting systems.
3.
Preparing and analyzing cost reports and costing audits.
4.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
5.
Coordinating with internal departments to gather data for cost analysis.
6.
Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions.
7.
Reviewing invoices and making appropriate corrections or adjustments.
8.
Assisting in month-end close of the General Ledger including the preparation of journal entries.
9.
Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
10.
Assisting in physical inventories and monitoring cycle count program.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following
Qualifications:
1.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
2.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting.
3.
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
4.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
5.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
6.
Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
7.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
8.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
