The Wastewater Operator in Training is a key position in the Public Works Department.
An incumbent in this class is responsible for a variety of basic and semi-skilled labor in the operation and maintenance of the City's Wastewater Reclamation Plant.
Learns to perform and assists in the maintenance, repair and/or operation of a treatment plant facility; assists and learns to perform treatment plant rounds; performs a variety of routine building and grounds maintenance; operates a variety of equipment including mowers, tractors, weedeaters, edger's, blowers, and related maintenance equipment and vehicles; and performs other related duties as required.
